KLIA2 Shopping Contest - Destination Curious

Shopping Contest KLIA2

Destination Curious is a KLIA2 shopping contest organized and run by Malaysia Airports, and it was officially launched on the 26th June 2014.

The travel contest was also launched by new Malaysia Airports managing director Datuk Badilshah Ghazali and Puan Faizah Khairuddin, Senior General Manager Commercial Services here at the main departure hall of KLIA2.

After the official launching, members of the media, retail outlet owners, sponsors and officials of Malaysia Airports were taken on a walking tour of KLIA2 where participating retail shops were visited in the main hall and also inside the international departure area.

In Destination Curious, travelers simply spend a minimum of RM150 from 26 June to 7 August 2014 at KLIA2 and they may just be on their way to Gold Coast for five days and four nights with three other friends or family members in the “Wonderful Visit to Oz” contest which is part of the main campaign.

The concept of Airport-Within-A-Mall or Gateway@KLIA2 merges the retail experience with air travel and is the perfect platform for Malaysia Airports to execute campaigns for travelers.

The commercial brand identity of KLIA2 is E.L.I.T.E or Experiential, Liberating, Innovative, Thrilling and Ever-Changing, Malaysia Airports strives to evoke the inner explorer in each traveler as it seeks to engage with them with a thematic/destination retail approach. This is something new in Malaysia and possibly in Asia.
