10 Years of the Borneo Jazz Festival

Borneo Jazz Festival 10th Anniversary 2015

It has been a decade since the inaugural Borneo Jazz Festival took place here in Miri, Sarawak and this year, the festival celebrates its 10th year after hosting 72 various jazz musicians, artists, and bands from all over the world.

Starting back in 2006 and originally called the Miri International Jazz Festival, organizers Sarawak Tourism Board painstakingly ensured the success of this niche music festival to where it is today.

Held yearly at the Everly ParkCity Hotel grounds in Miri by Brighton Beach, this unique venue provided a fantastic atmosphere where music lovers and jazz fans could enjoy a weekend of jazz music played in the outdoor area of the hotel which has a seafront view.

This year's Borneo Jazz Festival 2015 takes place from 8-9 May and promises an exciting festival with 8 notable musicians and bands handpicked to return here for the 10th Anniversary of the Borneo Jazz.
