Langkawi is such a beautiful spot, and has some truly fantastic resorts. I&#39;ve been there only once, but loved it. I wish I&#39;d known about it when planning my honeymoon.<br />Maybe we&#39;ll go for our upcoming anniversary.

David,<br /><br />Nice review.did u manage to go to Pantai Kelambu when u went to Simpang Mengayau? It is just about 30 minutes of driving further up from Simpang Mengayau. It is a very nice place whereby there is an island at Pantai Kelambu that u can simply walk to that island. The beach also very beautiful and the wave is not strong like Simpang Mengayau.

Updated: I just talked to the receptionist of Malibest Resort in Langkawi +(604) 9558222 and they offered me 150 Malaysian Ringit (50 USD 5.2.2011) per night per room without breakfast without sea front. They have no restaurant and do not offer any food.<br /><br /><br />However, it is a great experience to try it out for few days i think. Back to the roots. Happy holidays.

There are a few places around Pak Barra where you can park your car. Make sure it is a fenced and proper area. Best is to go early and check around there.
