Just came back from Vientiane, and tried some of the places you mentioned here. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of Lao food, or maybe it was because I expected them to be more similar to Thai food! Had lovely baguettes and French food when I was there, though!

Counting down the days until I leave for Laos (from Melbourne), I was searching Lao images and came across your wonderful blog.

Hi Mei, I tell you, the baguette was my star dish while in Laos. I could never get enough of it. It was dirt cheap too, $1 per baguatte and I had one almost every day!
