Malaysia Airlines New China Destination Routes

China Destinations with Malaysia Airlines

In November 2016, eight Malaysia Airlines New China Destination Routes have been announced as part of a rapid expansion campaign into China.

This was also announced by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, who made the official news in Beijing that the airline will serve 8 new destinations and 11 new routes with 35 additional frequencies between Malaysia and China beginning in early 2017.

Malaysia Airlines’ CEO Peter Bellew has also mentioned that Malaysia Airlines plans to triple the Chinese business over the next five years as the CEO sees potential for direct flights to 20 Chinese cities from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching by 2019.

Malaysia Airlines will also be adding a second daily flight between Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai subject to slots in April 2017.

This follows the airline’s recent announcement on the service upgrade to its morning Kuala Lumpur - Hong Kong sector from the Boeing 737 to the Airbus A330 aircraft.

Conclusion

As most of the destinations are quite similar to those of other budget airlines, the eight Malaysia Airlines New China Destination Routes will only take off after the first half of 2017 therefore, travelers and businessmen now await the confirmation dates and also the flight timings to each of the destinations in China.
