Ritz Carlton Langkawi Pre Review

Langkawi Ritz Carlton

The Ritz Carlton Langkawi will be opening somewhere in mid to late 2016 and as the date gets closer, the final details are being put in for the grand opening of one of Langkawi's luxurious resorts to date.

This will also be the second property after the Ritz Carlton in Kuala Lumpur city. The luxurious island resort in Langkawi is also boasting about their own private beach and also a cove with neighbouring resorts far in the distance, offering absolute privacy.

Ritz Carlton Langkawi Pre Review

This luxury beachfront property offers 132 rooms inclusive of 42 villas, three swimming pools, a Ritz Kids Club, spa and multi-cuisine restaurants.

Also, the talk of the town is a fine-dining French restaurant and an international beach grill restaurant.

For design elements of this luxury resort, the group has also engaged Jan Strickland and Burega Farnell to blend design elements that reflect a traditional Malay kampung village which is perfectly balanced together with curated tropical gardens.

In general, think tropical rainforest on a beach - this is the kind of concept that makes this resort one of the much talked about resorts in the world.

For spa and wellness, Langkawi seems to be the top island in Malaysia that offers world-class spas from the many international and luxury resorts here.

To enter the list, this property is opening a world-class spa that offers Hammam, and this will add on to the list of luxury spas in Langkawi island.

The goal and objective are to become a new world-class spa destination with an array of rejuvenating experiences to pamper you inside your luxury villa here in tropical Langkawi Island.

For weddings and MICE events, the Ritz Carlton has three dedicated venues for small to medium-sized events. More information will be available, hopefully soon.

Where is the Ritz Carlton Langkawi located at?

As for landmark, the resort sits in between Tanjung Sanctuary Resort and Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort along Jalan Pantai Kok and the airport is actually very close by for anyone flying into the island.

You may wonder how I know all this? It is because I am a Malaysian writer and photographer and my work takes me all over the country, especially to Langkawi.

You can also take a look at my previous article on things to do in Langkawi for those wanting to explore further.

Driving time from Ritz Carlton Langkawi to;
• Langkawi International Airport - 10 to 15 minutes drive
• Kuah Town - 30 minutes drive
• Telaga Harbor - 5 minutes drive
• Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge - 10 to 15 minutes
• Kilim Geoforest Park Mangroves - 30 to 45 minutes
• Pantai Cenang Beach - 15 to 20 minutes drive

Pantai Cenang Beach is one of the most popular places as it is the main entertainment area of Langkawi and is popular for its nightlife, restaurants, cafes, malls, and spas.

For Langkawi Duty-Free Shopping, it is recommended you go to Kuah Town, the capital of Langkawi as many places offer all kinds of chocolates, spirits, sporting goods and so on.

The resort is a partnership venture between the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C and AJ Resorts Sdn. Bhd, a local Malaysian company.

Conclusion

Currently, there is little news on this luxury property apart from the press releases that were issued last year.

The next time you visit here and want to indulge in some luxury, you can always consider checking out the Ritz Carlton Langkawi.
