AirAsia X Flights to New Zealand
After exiting Christchurch in May 2012, the world's leading long haul airline has restarted the AirAsia X flights to Auckland, New Zealand again, and this time, via the Gold Coast, Australia.

Daily flights are scheduled to commence operations on 22 March 2016, and this is targeted to strengthen AirAsia X's connectivity between Asia, Australia and the North Island of New Zealand.
           
AirAsia X flights to New Zealand was officially launched in Kuala Lumpur today by His Excellency Dr. John Subritzky, New Zealand High Commissioner to Malaysia, in the company of Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Group Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Group Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia and Benyamin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X Berhad.

AirAsia X Flights to Auckland New Zealand

To celebrate the announcement of the new route, AirAsia X is offering promotional all-in-fares from as low as RM499* one way on economy seats and from as low as RM1499* one way on the award-winning Premium Flatbed seats.

These promotional fares are available for booking online starting 13 until 24 January 2016 for the travel period from 22 March until 5 February 2017.

Following this new route announcement, passengers can now travel from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland, New Zealand with a quick stopover in Gold Coast, Australia.

Australia visa is not required for this stopover and Malaysians can travel visa-free to New Zealand for up to 3 months, making traveling for all Malaysian guests a breeze. 

Guests can also make use of the Fly-Thru option to connect seamlessly to Auckland from other cities within AirAsia group’s extensive flight network; or the Multi-City option to spend a few days on the stopover in Gold Coast before travelling onward to Auckland, allowing even more flexibility to your travel plan. 

Recently in late 2015, AirAsia X new routes was to Sapporo, Japan, and for 2016, the long haul budget airline plans to fly to Honolulu and Delhi, India.
