At the Rainforest Music Workshops, visitors can learn and understand a little more about the various types of world music while at some workshops, you are taught how to dance or even play traditional and ethnic musical instruments.

Some even offer vocal workshops that seem to be a hit with the locals and foreigners who attend.

There are also food bazaars that are placed at various locations of the festival grounds where you can savour local and international cuisines at a very reasonable price. Drink booths are also strategically placed around the cultural village too.

For the culture and craft lover, booths are selling local ethnic crafts, musical instruments and even some doing temporary tribal tattoos.

For the jewellery lovers, a special craft bazaar is set up where you can find very beautiful Sarawakian jewellery among many other arts and crafts here.

Each of the original ethnic houses spread across the festival grounds will play host to visitors by showcasing their way of life, food, craft, and even costumes.

While there are numerous ethnic and sub-ethnic tribes found all over Sarawak, the Sarawak Cultural Village showcases the main ethnic races of Sarawak which are the Iban, Bidayuh, Melanau, Penan, Orang Ulu, Malay and Chinese people.

When you are here in the day, you can visit each of these houses to learn about their individual cultures.

After all, the Sarawak Cultural Village is world renown as a Living Museum with actual people living in the many homes here.
