What are Poshtels? This is a new term coined out by the travel and hotel industry where the name Poshtels is actually a mixture of boutiques and hostels who have done a modern makeover giving the place a posh feeling for today's backpacker or flashpacker.

This is slowly changing all over the world wherein countries like England and Europe are already ahead in the game in this tourism and travel genre.

Poshtels are also classified as a guesthouse or hostel, without the prison cell bunk bed scheme, shady receptions, and dirty showers.

In a report at the recent World Travel Market (WTM) in London in November 2014, boutique and nicely designed hostels that offer high-tech modern facilities like ensuite bathrooms, free Wifi, and luxurious designs are fast becoming very popular among both leisure and business travelers around Europe.

Poshtels around the world now offers private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, unique designer furniture and some even the odd chandelier or beautiful art for the comfort of the guests.

Free Internet usage, LCD televisions in some rooms are the attractions to lure travelers while the main reception areas often offer a 44 or 50 inch large LCD TV with local satellite television.

Some even offer Playstations or X-Box as entertainment for the guests while free breakfast is also being offered too.
