Cruise Tourism in Brunei

Brunei Cruise Tourism is now available in the smallest country on the island of Borneo where an official launching of the Brunei Bay and Water Village Cruise was officiated recently.

The event for the MV Sentosa ferry cruise was officially launched by the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar in early November 2014.

The Brunei Bay and Water Village Cruise are also operated by Sha-Zan Marine Sdn Bhd, located at Queen Elizabeth II Jetty, Kampong Dato Gandi.

Yang Di Muliakan Pehin Datu Paduka Raja Major General (Rtd) who is the managing director also mentioned that their main aim for MV Sentosa is to provide tourists with a more comfortable and safe option of touring the Brunei River and Kampong Ayer. 

Six certified crew members will operate the MV Sentosa boat which complies with international maritime safety standards and cater to main tourists or even locals who want to charter the boat for their own private functions or special trips.

The MV Sentosa boat also can accommodate a total of 60 passengers in their fully air-conditioned indoor decks.

Currently, plans for boosting tourism via this new product are being discussed with Brunei Tourism.

The company is also talking to various travel agents in order to provide cruise tour packages such as a sunset dinner cruise or even wildlife and sightseeing cruises.

Something new here, the Brunei River Cruise is a brand new tourism product which will see more tourists enquiring about it.

They are one of the trusted and reliable tour operators in Brunei. At the time of print, there have been no Brunei cruise packages updated on the site but it should be there soon.
