The grand launching of Visit Malaysia Year 2014, which is the nation’s biggest tourism celebration will be non-stop excitement from dazzling parades, colourful cultural shows, fabulous food festivals, exciting sports, music and arts festivals, shopping extravaganza and many more.

Held at the iconic Dataran Merdeka in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, visitors and guests will be in for a show of the year.

Tourism Malaysia and the relevant agencies around the world have been working around the clock for the last 12 months in helping promote Visit Malaysia Year 2014 or VMY 2014 to the world.

The time has finally come where everyone will witness the grand launch which is officiated by the Malaysian Tourism Minister and also the Deputy Prime Minister among many other VIPs here at Dataran Merdeka.

When the night falls, the Deputy Prime Minister will officiate the event followed by some amazing firework which will then lead into a parade and show. 

Starting as early as 10.00am, there are many activities lined up for all visitors and guests where all the Malaysian tourism areas are promoted which include a food festival, exhibitions, demonstrations and many other exciting activities.

For those heading here this Saturday, 4th January 2014, don't forget to bring your cameras as it will be one massive colourful event not to be missed.
