Legoland Hotel Malaysia

Opening of Legoland Hotel Malaysia

The Legoland Hotel Malaysia is opened in early 2014 at Nusajaya, Johor just next to the Legoland Theme Park.

This will also be the first Legoland Hotel in Asia and fourth in the world after the UK, Denmark, and California.

This is a much talked about theme hotel which will attract all walks of life to the southern part of Malaysia where is it located.

Legoland Hotel Malaysia

Legoland Hotel Malaysia started the groundwork around August 2012 and the projected actual time frame for completion is scheduled between Q1 and Q2 of 2014.

This means many are expecting this project to be ready by June 2014. When the hotel opens, it will encourage families with young children to extend their visit to the theme park, giving them proximate more time to spend here.

From the hotel, guests can easily reach the theme park's interactive rides, live shows, building workshops, driving schools, and attractions.

In the above picture, you will see a replica of the hotel which is made entirely from lego bricks and on display at the theme park.

Notice the brand name as it is called Hotel Legoland and this is probably in conjunction with the Malaysian business name ruling laws as the Malay language name needs to be prominently displayed before the English name.

Branded overall with the Lego spirit from the main entrance right down to the on-site restaurant and bar, the property will be a myriad of colors that is eye-catching to everyone.

The 249-room hotel is not built with Lego bricks but visitors can still expect to find the little plastic cuboids everywhere.

Even the fries in the restaurant are shaped like them where kids will have an amazing time exploring the many additional features here.

Legoland Hotel Room Rates

At the moment, nothing is mentioned about the room rates here. Once it is announced, we will share the prices here. I am guessing the standard rack rates would be around RM250-300 (US$80 to $100).

Judging from the connectivity of hotel-theme park, you can expect combination packages of Room plus Park Entrance fees which should be in the RM350 to 400 brackets.

Then again, let us see what is published when the time comes.

Legoland Malaysia family theme park is owned by Themed Attractions and Resorts Sdn Bhd (TAR), Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) and Merlin Entertainments Group.

The Park is operated by Merlin Entertainments, the world’s second-largest visitor attraction operator. This is also one of the many Theme Parks in Malaysia that have set international standards too.

As it is located in the southern region, you can also find out other things to do in Johor when you visit here.

Conclusion

The group has also announced the opening date for the Legoland Water Park which is set to open in 2013.

For more news on this new project, you can subscribe to Malaysia Asia as we will be following this until the place opens.

Our reputation has been very good since before the park opening, we have already visited the site until the grand opening here in Malaysia in 2012.

Now the next best thing will be the opening of the Legoland Hotel Malaysia which many people are waiting for.
