Suunto Dive Computer in Malaysia

Malaysia Suunto Dive Computers

Suunto Dive Computers are one of the best diving computers I have used to date. I got my Suunto D6i  in 2012 and used it for a lot of my dives in Sabah Borneo and found it to be very accurate. Of course, I got the Black and Silver D6i as I use it on a daily basis even when I am not diving.

Prior to getting the D6i, I was thinking about getting the Zoop just for diving, but after talking to many other experienced divers and dive instructors in Malaysia, they advised me to get something a little better since I dive quite frequently.

Coming in between, I finally settled for the D6i and till date, it is an amazing dive computer. I guess for me, the next level would be upgrading to a Suunto D9tx. Below are the comparisons among the four main Suunto dive computers available in Malaysia.

As for the Suunto D4i Novo Dive Computer, the features stay the same, but they now come in fresh new colors and design. The new-look Suunto D4i is available in black, white, blue and lime.

As well as the renewed design, the Suunto D4i Novo also features an all new, soft silicone strap, ensuring maximum comfort as well as a superb fit.

The case and strap are color-matched for a consistent look, bezel and mask prints are new and the buttons are made of metal.

Note: The old D4i is replaced with the new Suunto D4i Novo.

The D4i dive computers comes in 6 colors as pictured above. This will suit those who prefer something that may match their dive equipment or even if you have a favourite color.

Personally women divers will go for the bright colors as I have seen many using the Pink D4i during my many dives. Please note that the optional wireless air integration cannot be used for the old D4 and D6 models.

Malaysia Suunto Dive Computers
Suunto dive computers in Malaysia

As a diver, I have been using the Suunto D6i for many years now and it has never failed me. To me, a good brand is a good investment. There are many dive computer brands out in the market, so it is entirely up to you on which you prefer.

Since 2010, I have been diving quite a bit, and with many people. My dive trips have taken me around the world and everywhere I do, my Suunto D6i will follow along.

This Suunto dive computer review is done purely based on experience using it. It is not a sponsored posting. You can tell from the many dive articles I have written over the years.

And, all Suunto dive computers come with a two year warranty. The D4i new series does not allow you to change the battery anywhere as you have to send it back to the authorized dealers where they will change it for you.

Anyway, the battery for the Suunto can easily last anywhere from 24 months to 36 months depending on how much you dive. If you are to compare the prices, there are numerous places that also sell Suunto Dive Computers in Malaysia.
