According to CEO Azran Osman Rani, the launch of the daily Sydney Flights via AirAsia X is a beginning of a new chapter as from the 30th March 2012, AirAsia X had ceased flights to Europe and India.

This will give the airline more attention to the main sectors of Australia, Japan, Korea, and China. He also mentioned about travelers especially Australians flying into LCCT in Malaysia as the main gateway to many other destinations around Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and greater Asia.

The connectivity with sister airline AirAsia makes traveling and connecting flights hassle-free when you simply need to change flights at one terminal.

Asking Azran about when the next AirAsia X Australian destination of Adelaide will take off, he replied that it is definitely in the works as the airline has been busy working on this. Therefore it will be announced when there is more confirmation.
