Sunset at Uluwatu, Bali Picture

Uluwatu Sunset Photo

This Sunset at Uluwatu, Bali is my picture for this week, and I took this photo on my June 2011 trip to Bali when visiting one of the most famous tourist sites here.

Uluwatu has been one of the top three places to visit when you are in Bali, and having been here for the first time, I never knew what to expect.

People, nd tour guides kept telling me that Uluwatu is well known for the Kecak Performance, the monkeys that steal items from tourist, and there are lots of tourist here.

Being myself, I made it a point to come even earlier, so that I could explore the place fully, and finally during sunset hour, I headed to the main commercial area where another 200 tourist were seen taking photos.

While everyone was busy at the main area capturing the sunset, I shifted my focus to the cliffs on the way up to the temple, where I found a perfect spot to capture this beautiful sunset.

I used a 105mm lens to capture this sunset, in aperture mode on my Nikon D60 DSLR camera. At first, the photos did not come out nice, but playing around with the settings, it finally turned out like this.

You can also see my Tanah Lot Sunset in Bali for another shot I managed to get when I was there. I had an awesome time during my nine day stay here, as I explored many of the local and also non-local places.

But what mesmerized me was how the sunset at Uluwatu picture turned out, as I never expected this at all. So, next time you are here, just keep a lookout during the sunset hour.
