Pantai Cenang in Langkawi Plane Views

Aerial Plane View Pantai Cenang Langkawi
Here is a plane view of Pantai Cenang in Langkawi, which is one of my best aerial photography till date. I always try to photograph through an airplane window but 9 out of 10 times, the window is dirty, the wing is in my way or I am simply seated in the wrong side of the plane.

This time around, I choose the back seat of the plane so I could try an capture some island pictures and these are the results of my aerial view of Pantai Cenang.

In the picture above, you will see the entire Cenang Beach starting from the curve all the way to the Underwater World.

The entire stretch here is the most popular area for sun seekers, holiday makers, budget travelers and even the luxury travelers as resorts and hotels here cater to all walks of life.

This next picture shows the entire length of Pantai Cenang in Langkawi. In the foreground, you see a small parachute doing para sailing which is a popular sport at the main beach.

At any one time during a busy weekend, there must be about 10 or so para sailing parachutes zooming around the beach area.

Not something I like to see as motorised sports does not work well in my books. I would prefer Eco-friendly activities instead of jet-skies, banana boat rides and ATVs buzzing around the beach.

Holiday Villa Langkawi

This view above is the inner part of Pantai Cenang where some of the popular resorts like the prominent one in the picture which is Holiday Villa Langkawi, Frangipani and all the way to the end which is Awana Porto Malai Resort.

Along this main road, there are many restaurants, bars and clubs which come alive at night. So if you are seeking some entertainment in Langkawi after the sun goes down, you should head to this area. The road name is called Jalan Pantai Tengah or translated as Middle Beach Road.

Moonlight Bay Resort

The above picture is of the Moonlight Bay Resort along Jalan Pantai Cenang. This resort is located towards the end of the main street after the Underwater World heading to Jalan Pantai Tengah.

The beach here is pretty quiet, clean and relaxing compared to the main beach. For those seeking some privacy, this is a much secluded area with not much traffic.

Overall, there must be about 50 resorts, hotels and guest houses along this popular stretch of beach. For those visiting the island, you should also not miss out on the excellent Langkawi Duty Free Shopping.

All the pictures here were taken using a Nikon D60 with standard lens from a turboprop plane while flying over Pantai Cenang in Langkawi.
