Matta Fair Sabah Package

All Sabah travel packages at Matta Fair are best purchased during the travel fair in Kuala Lumpur. During this travel fair, the tour operators would have special prices for the many packages to Sabah.

At the Matta Fair, you can find all kinds of Sabah packages ranging from city, adventure and island packages catered to suit those who prefer the individual package.

Sabah Travel Packages at Matta Fair

People seem to be heading to Sabah Borneo due to the many affordable flights from various cities around Southeast Asia; flying in and out is quick and easy. Most travellers would purchase their own air tickets.

Then, they would opt for the ground packages to move around in Sabah as it is much easier. If you are a single traveller or couple, the ground packages are the best to get.

However, if you are travelling with your parents or in a large group, it is better to inquire about the full packages, including transport, rooms, and flights.

Below are some of the most popular Sabah Travel Packages offered during the Matta Fair.

Maliau Basin Package 3D/2N Jungle Adventure

Maliau Basin is one of the most sought after adventure packages in Sabah Borneo, with very few people visiting this Lost World of Sabah.

Even our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak made a recent visit to Maliau Basin early in 2011 and was the first prime minister of Malaysia to visit this unexplored place.

The experience you will have here is a land transfer all the way to the south of the basin, where you will continue with Sabah Park Rangers and Guide to the initial base camp and overnight here.

While here, trek to one of the beautiful waterfalls of Maliau Basin through the rugged rainforest seeing the many flora and fauna offered here.

A medium-level trek which is no more than an hour and suitable for most ages. After all, you can say 'I've been to Maliau Basin' after taking this incredible trip of a lifetime. All meals are provided throughout most packages.

For the serious trekker or adventure lover, Maliau Basin requires a minimum of 7 to 12 days to fully explore this area.

Mabul and Sipadan Island Packages

Mabul and Sipidan Island are among the most beautiful islands on the east coast of Sabah Borneo and are highly sought by island and beach lovers.

Sipadan  Island is well known as one of the top scuba diving spots globally, while Mabul Island is home to the famous Bajau Sea Gypsies and where you will be staying.

Until a few years ago, visiting Sipadan Islands would cost you over RM1000 per person, but lately, homestyle lodge accommodations have improved and catered to those who would like to see these stunning islands.

Over the years, there have been several new products, gaining popularity among the local travellers.

Usually, at the Sabah Tourism booth, around 20 to 30 different tour operators promote various types of Sabah travel packages, so you just need to see which one attracts you.

For the first-timer who plans to visit this part of North Borneo, there are many different types of Sabah tour packages available, and you can just visit the Sabah Tourism Booth during any of the Matta Fairs to check them out.
