The Hanoi Beer Junction, or Bia Hoi Junction, is a trendy place in the famous Old Quarter of Hanoi, Vietnam.

This unique place is located at the corner of Ta Hien and LÆ°Æ¡ng Ngoc Quyen Street, where foreigners and locals sit on stools and drink local Hanoi Beer, watching the traffic pass.

Hanoi Beer Junction

During my trip here in 2008, I made it a point to check out this exciting place since I had several days to spend in Hanoi.

The result was fascinating, as I had never seen so many travellers and locals sitting on little stools drinking beer at a common road junction.

Three shops at each corner serve Bie Hoi (Cheap Vietnamese Beer), so take your pick. This is also a must-visit place for backpackers and travellers who come to Hanoi.

I couldn't help but sit in for a quick beer on those cheap plastic stools watching travellers catch up with travelling stories as hoards of motorbikes pass by in all directions.

If you are afraid of noisy traffic and large crowds of people and motorbikes zooming around you, it is best to avoid hanging out here.

For those who love drinking beer or just want to be like a local, this is one of the best places to enjoy the Hanoi lifestyle here at the unique Hanoi beer junction.

Conclusion

Hanoi is one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam, and my last trip here was back in 2008. Check out my photographs of Hanoi's Old Quarter at night, as I started to indulge in photography back then.

If you have never been here, I recommend visiting this city filled with exciting culture and heritage. And do not forget to check out the Hanoi Beer Junction when you are here.
